On that cold morning while rambling in the lower Manhattan, I got moved when I saw this helpless soul…half sleepy with a frozen nose, shivering hands n chilly feet in that windy weather!
(In recent years the number of homeless New Yorkers residing in shelters each night has reached the highest point in New York City’s history. Thousands more sleep on city streets, park benches, and subway trains. www.coalitionforthehomeless.org)
